Saturday April 16, 2022 (cont'd)

I completed Section 7 of the Taipei Grand Hike! My final section! I collected the '遊' stamp and the '趣' stamp and the last 7 treasures! This was one of the easier sections of the Grand Hike even with all the stairs.

It feels amazing to be finally be finished! Twelve signposts, 49 treasures and 92KM later, I get to pick up my completion certificates, towels and key chain. Woot! Now ... what's next?

I blasted through Section 5 of the Grand Hike again to collect the seven treasures I somehow didn't save a couple of weeks ago. Thankfully this is one of the easier sections that is close to my house. I wasn't thrilled to do it again but I was able to get through it under three hours. The trails were empty and it was a great (but hot) day for a solo hike. Once I collected the treasures, I took a new route out of the mountains, so that made me happy! One more section to go!

Saturday April 9th, 2022 (cont'd)

We completed Section 3 of the Grand Hike. It was the longest section but perhaps the prettiest. This route starts at Xiaoyoukeng (小油坑) and takes you to Qixingshan (七星山) at 1,120m, to Lengshuikeng (冷水坑) and to the Qingtiangang Grasslands (擎天崗) before heading down to Fengguizui. (風櫃嘴) It offers varied terrain and so many stunning views! I collected the '東' stamp and the '西' stamp and seven more treasures. One more section to go before the Grand Hike mission is complete!
