Clouds rolled in quickly in the late morning but the gorge still offered stunning scenery

I awoke to blue skies early on Monday morning so I hopped on my rented scooter and headed for Taroko Gorge

The reason I was in Hualien was to see the newly opened Baiyang Trail. I wanted to get there early to beat the bus loads of people that were bound to be there later.

I practically had the place to myself and I giggled my way through the entire 2.1KM trail! Eight tunnels, stunning scenery, waterfalls and a water curtain cave! This place was well worth the wait!
